I haven't posted any pictures that I'd taken this month and they were starting to pile up on my camera so I figured it was time to file them away.
As you may or may not know, Craig's company (Cart$r and Burge$$) paid for he and I (along with a few others and their wives) to go to Rhode Island for the CV$ Charity Golf Classic. (Craig handles all the CVS NEW stores that arent proto-types) We had a wonderful time!
This is the president of CV$, Roger Staubach (former Dallas Cowboys quarterback) and Lee Trevino.

After they stopped to sign autographs, Craig and I struck up a conversation with Staubach. Staubach Realty does all the property acquisition for CVS, so Staubach noticed that Craig's hat and shirt said C&B and they started talking about that. Then, I asked about his NASCAR team (he co-owns Hall of Fame Racing with fellow former Dallas quarterback, Troy Aikman)

So this weekend I decided to keep my niece and give my sister a much needed break. She's never had two nights in a row to herself and she's really busting her ass to give her daughter a good life. Yesterday morning when my niece woke up and got her out of the crib I have here and brought her into my bedroom. After she ate, she was noticeably tired so I rocked her for all of 2 minutes and she was OUT. Craig was still asleep so I just put her in the bed with him so I could read for a while.

The wife of the CEO from Craig's company sent me a little dress she made for my niece. You can't see the embroidery done on the front of the dres, but here it is. She takes antique pillow cases and makes them.

We went to the Parks Mall in Arlington where Uncle Craig was smitten enough to buy her pretty much anything she wanted. Then, we were off to the Spaghetti Warehous to chow down on pasta.
After we got home I could tell she was getting irritated because she's teething. I'd forgotten to put her teething ring in the freezer so I got out some pickles from Cousins. They're cut thick like brean and butter pickles but they're dill. I was worried that she'd get frustrated by the taste but she loved it. We sat on my bed for quite a while like this.

Then, Ryan came in and was cutting up with us. She'd taken several pictures of herself (shocking, I know!) and on this one, I threw a pickle in her mouth right as the camera took the pic.

This was our last weekend home for two and a half weeks. We're headed to Houston this weekend and then straight to Atlanta for two weeks without coming home in between. Then, her last two tournaments will be in Dallas at the end of the month.
She is planning on going to see the coach at UNT tomorrow or Tuesday, whichever day Craig can go with us, to give her verbal commitment to play basketball for them starting next year. We're very excited about it and I'm quite proud that she is so intent on including Craig in this. He has supported her unconditionally throughout her AAU career, even when we were in the middle of a custody dispute with his exwife that cost us THOUSANDS (we won, thank God) and we didn't really have the extra thousands that it costs for her to play. He's been so good for Austin and Ryan and that just makes me love him all the more. We've been extraordinaraily blessed to have him in our lives.
All right, that concludes my post regarding June of 2007. Peace out.
