Now What Do I Do?
Ummm, this is going to be a crappy few days. Craig just left a few minutes ago for the airport and he'll be gone until WEDNESDAY NIGHT! (ack!!!) He had to be in Sacramento until Wednesday afternoon so I suggested that he fly out this morning instead of tonight and that way he can drive to Chico (where we used to live) and get in a round of golf with his best friend, Kevin. (I'll tell you something interesting about him in a sec!)
When we moved back (for me) to Texas in 2000 Craig really lost out on having his best friend around. They were very close. They spent every Saturday and Sunday playing at least one round of golf a day (but usually two) plus every year they'd go on golf vacations for a week or so. Anyway, Craig still sees Kevin a couple of times every year, whether he goes to Chico to see him or if Kevin came down to watch Ryan play basketball but they haven't been able to play golf together since 2000. It was well past time, so Craig and Kevin will be playing at Butte Creek Country Club, just about 15 miles from the wildfires burning the shit out of Paradise, Ca. Great times! I'm sure that's the perfect atmosphere to be out traipsing around in 108 degree temps, unable to breathe in anything but ash! Wooo hooooo
Ok, the interesting thing about Kevin... He coached football and basketball at one of the local high schools in Chico and one of his students went on to play football in junior college. Well, some coaches from C@l came up to watch a running back play and ended up going back and telling the head coach that it wasn't the running back they wanted... it was the quarterback. Got any guesses as to who that might be? (HINT- his name is REALLY in the news this week!)
It's Aaron Rodgers, the starting quarterback in-limbo for the Green B@y Packers!!! I'm sure he's not too happy that his name is all over the sports news this week. Anyway, Kevin said this guy is just the nicest kid around. He never fails to call for the girls' birthdays and just is exactly the type of kid you'd want your son to be. Let's hope that winning spirit sticks with him in the coming weeks. He's gonna need all the support he can get! (Favre sucks for this!!!)
So here I sit trying to figure out what the hell I'm going to do for the next 3 days. Kyra's in SoCal, Craig's in NoCal. Ryan is in Houston but she'll be home tonight and I'll drive her back to Denton and then drive back home (ughhh!) but THEN WHAT? I'm not good at entertaining myself!
Austin is around, but he's doing his own thing if you know what I mean. Actually, I don't even know what I mean by that. He's been pretty quiet lately, but kind of an ass. I don't know what's been up with him and when I ask him about it he says it's nothing. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. He's so hard to read these days.
So I guess I'm going to go clean... or take a nap. I haven't decided which. I'm guessing, based on past history, that a nap will win the day. Doesn't it always?

I agree with you about Brett Favre. On a side note, every year I put him on my celebrity death list because I'm just SURE that he is going to hit the pills and booze again then have a car accident and die! LOL
In order to pass your time, I think you need a quick get away to the Oregon coast!!
