Same Allergies, Different Day
God damnit, I can't take much more! I've only been up about 45 minutes and I've already taken two zyrte c and 4 benedryl. I guess after I take Ryan to school I'll take a little more, then sleep it off. Usually if I can get a bolus in sometimes pretty early in the morning and then take steady doses all day I can get it under control by dinner. Yesterday I didn't have much luck, though.
Every year Craig and I do the slide show for the basketball banquet. I pick through the hundreds of pictures that I take, plus from another parent and the ones from the paper. Then I pick out the songs I want for it, then pass it all to Craig to put together in a power p0int presentation. For some reason we didn't get the other parents' pictures and the ones from the paper until this past weekend, so Craig is having to hump it to get it all done. It all just makes me want to cry.
The banquet isn't until tomorrow night but there's just so much to do! There is really only one or two other sets of parents who help with anything. It's actually pretty sad. There was so little parent participation this year that the booster club actually just disbanded. I wasn't in the booster club (I did for Austin's football and baseball though) but we donated a total of almost $500 just this season so I don't really feel too bad about it. There is one parent that busts her ass and has every year so I feel bad for her.
Craig is in Northern California today and tomorrow and should just barely make it into town before the banquet. He's pretty happy about traveling this time because he gets to go see his best friend. Ryan's happy because she gets to sleep in my bed. Kyra seems happy these days, but who really knows? Austin is happy because he's got money in his pockets, but he's like his mama and loves to shop, so that probably won't last. The dogs are happy because the weather has been fan-fucking-tastic. I'd be happy if I could breathe. Doesn't sound like too much to ask for, does it?
Oh God, I just had the worst thought! We're leaving for Tahoe in a week... my allergies are always exponentially worse when we're up there. Sonofabitch.
UNT announced the new basketball coach for next year. We're really hoping they keep the assistant coach that Ryan likes so much. I don't know when she'll actually meet the new coach. She got several calls yesterday from girls already on the team this year and they seem happy about her. Ryan pretty much gets along with everyone so it shouldn't be a big deal. Of course, if this weekend pans out it's not gonna matter. I guess we shall see.
