Monday Morning Misery
I had an amazing weekend. Really, I did. But you would never guess it by how shitty my morning has been so far, so maybe I'll just skip over it and save that for another time. Instead, I'll talk more about yesterday. Yeah! Craig and I spent some fabulous time together (yeahhhhhhh) and then on Sunday we took Ryan and Destini down to Austin to watch the UT game against Texas A&M. Destini's sister and Destini both played with Ryan on their AAU team before Niqky left for UT.
Anyway, here are some cute pictures of them. Of course, they're hamming in up! (My camera settings were WAY off for this venue but I had NO clue at all until it was too late so the pictures are shit but you get the idea!)
Here are Ryan and Destini sitting in the suite....

But it didn't take them long to bolt and head for the seats on the floor that Niqky got for us. Here is Niqky shooting free throws yesterday

Then, after the game we got to go see Niqky in the media room where the team goes after their press conference. It has been about 6 months since we've seen her so there were big hugs all around! Of course, my camera wasn't out when Ryan tackled her!!! LOL

You wanna see something impressive? Go read this! The scary thing is that Destini may be the better player. Don't hold me to that, though. It's very hard to guage that because Des is a point guard and Niqky's a forward/post. Both of them have been recruited by the biggest schools in the nation from a very early age. I told Vance straight up that was the reason we joined that team two years ago and I haven't regretted a single minute of it. Ryan only started playing basketball when she started 7th grade so coming out of 8th grade Ryan started getting college letters, alot of them but after she played her first summer with Vance (after 9th grade) the college letters came POURING in and it only got better this past summer. Lets hope we don't screw it up! (please knock on wood for us!!!)
