Shit Happens. I have the proof!
Yesterday my baby boy turned 19. He was in and out most of the day but I finally grabbed him as he was walking out the door and snapped this picture. He wasn't happy about it, as you can plainly see. He was all grimy from doing stuff to his car... whatever guys do. I don't know, but I didn't care, I just needed a pic of him on his b-day! It's a bad pic, but still...

With Ryan turning 17 in September and Kyra having just turned 13 I think it's safe to say I'm almost done. Yeah right!!!!
And now, it's on to an update on the injured reserved. Ryan was complaining that the fiberglass air cast the hospital put on was too tight, so we took it off to loosen it up. Of course I had to snap a picture or two of her ugly foot.

Notice the ugly bruising building up just behind and below the ankle. It's going to get much worse and the bruising SHOULD end up traveling all the way to her toes. Until the bruising actually stops happening we won't have a true handle on how long she could possibly be down. I think we're just going to have her sit out the entire volleyball season, rehab the ankle and lift weights to prepare for basketball.
She's really bummed about that prospect because she's been voted All-District in volleyball and basketball since her freshman year and she really wanted to maintain that, but hey... shit happens.
