Can I get an air conditioned corner in hell?
It's too fucking hot to even move a muscle around here, and there is oh-so-much to do. We got the bedroom painted and the oak baseboards (that match the wood floors) put down. Now, it's time to do the little touch ups and put the room back together, but it's so hot that I'm finding it hard to gather up even the tiniest bit of enthusiasm about getting it all done. It does look rather fantastic, though.
I have found the down-side to the wood floors, though. Well, it's sort of the up-side AND the downside. You see every bit of dog hair on the floor. It's good, because it makes it easy to notice it and get it up before it makes a huge mess but it's bad because well, it means you've got to get it up before it makes a huge mess!
Ryan started 3-a-day workouts for volleyball on Monday and though she was in really good shape from basketball she's hurting. They are working out almost 7 hours a day right now and it won't let up until school starts. Then, it'll go down to 2.5 hours a day. She's too tired at night to do much other than take a shower and hit the bed by about 8 because she has to be at the school at 5:45am. No thanks.
School starts Tuesday for Ryan and Kyra and I can't WAIT. I'm ready for them to GET OUT OF THE HOUSE during the day. They're driving me nuts.
I'm out.
